Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

tfw half the motherlovers on this site are codecels who spent 3 hours a day doing work, 3 hours browsing rdrama, and 2 hours going home early because lmao cannot understand the despair of the wagie commuting 2 hours by bus for a 10 hour shift earning pennies on the Whopper complaining about their life situation and prospects.
The SAME fricking people who say shit like "the two income family destroyed my ability to be a single provider due to price inflation" cannot possibly comprehend that when the goygrammers are able to drop a four figure monthly rent it prices out the wagies serving them lunch slop.

I think
the fact that it's a woman 
can't be understated either though.
She'd have been married
earlier in prior generations and the concept of a "single woman 
living 
alone" is a very new thing in human 
history. Her biggest mistake 
was not #girlbossing and getting a email job and making $60k/yr if she was going 
to pull that.

Virtually none of my irl friends are programmers and they all, every last one, even the ones that didn't go to college, make way more. And no they didn't have any family connections or shit.

Oh noooo she's not able to afford a luxurious home on basically a minimum wage (no overtime) how terrible
besides the "don't make us live in pods" shit is about arguments that regular homes (SFH) should be banned not some r-slurred argument that they should be as financially accessible as a pod for the poorest people
I don't have much empathy for someone who bitches about their life being bad but won't do the most basic shit - like downgrading from a 2br to a 1br (would easily save like $200/mo, probably more) - to help their own situation. Plus the "wahhh I get home at 5 and can't do anything" you can do literally all your chores after work she's just lazy af, procrastinates until the weekend, and honestly probably procrastinates some more
