I should write about why the years 2001-2016 only black people were really buying Mitsubishi cars. I noticed this for years but then was looking up Mitsubishi history one day and saw no one talks about it. Just searched for a Reddit post on it and find an oldy w/ a NOTICCER

TIL Mitsubishi once offered "0–0–0" financing (0% down,0% interest,$0 in payments the first year). Initially, sales leapt, but many buyers defaulted at the end of the grace period, leaving Mitsubishi with used cars for which they had received no money and were now worth less than they cost to build. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Motors#0.E2.80.930.E2.80.930

I found the truth:

sounds about what black people do, buy cars at those horrid 'we finance everyone' dealerships, get the most bang they can and not pa y a dime on it, get it repo'd rinse and repeat

Whites don't know that blacks operate with a different level of negotiation than we do.

anyway now they drive almost every Altima I see

EDIT: Nissan and banks tried to emulate this the past 4 years too:

https://www.carsdirect.com/deals-articles/nissan-doubles-down-on-subprime-lending

Nissan is trying to make it easier for consumers with bad credit to get financed by partnering up with outside lenders.

According to a program bulletin sent to dealers, Nissan's captive financing company NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.) is offering a confusing-sounding option called the SignatureAccess Sub-Prime Dual Pass-Through Program.

The two companies, Santander Consumer USA (SCUSA) and Global Lending Services (GLS), are working with participating dealers to help finance subprime car buyers whether they're planning to buy a new or used vehicle.

Banks that may be in trouble right now too 😂

Why Do Black People Drive Nissan Altimas? - GearShifters

He's totally not black

I'm black and drive a 2017 Chevy; nonetheless, even somewhat earlier versions (2015+) of Nissan are excellent and fairly dependable. Although it's not at the top of my list and there are better cars, nonetheless.

I can attest to the truth of this, and I truly hope a black person driving a Nissan can attest. (This is not meant to be racist; it's just a comment to my beloved colored friends.)

My wife has noooticed blacks always drive ex-cop cars, Impalas, and the like.

She's also gotten pretty good at identifying the subtle differences between "poor black" and "poor beaner" rims
