There are unironically people who don't cook. Imagine for a second that you're r-slurred and (a) don't know how to cook and (b) aren't going to ever learn how to cook. How do you eat? Well you'd buy processed shit and get a lot of takeout.
That's what these people do. They'll spend well over $1k/mo on food, and then turn around and b-word about living paycheck to paycheck or whatever.
Sometimes they'll throw in the "I'm too tired after working three jobs! (note: total hours are 40/week and two of those jobs are Uber and Lyft for 1-2 hours each)"
Ill spend a lot on food but I'll also eat fricking good shit. 5 servings of beef bourguignon for $60? Sure, thats 2.5 days of food tho. Potato chips? Nope, a pound of manchego or blue cheese and some sopresata or capicola from the italian shop ($25-30). I could realistically save like $300-500 a month if I cut out my gourmet eating but I'm not gonna do that and switch to goyslop. It also doesnt help that i eat a lot. I'll have a full pound of chicken with like a third of a cup of rice and some veggies
Yeah yeah yeah we get it but you know they're not spending $1k/mo on fancy shit from an upscale grocer. Most of that is for takeout, doing stuff like ordering McD's on Uber Eats.
Permaslop is such an alien concept to me. Ive found that exposure to good food is the big cause for change. My coworker never once cooked his own meals, but after sampling some of my stuff and a few tips hes been making meals nonstop and constantly asking for simple recipes.
When im lazy I go for easy stuff. Youd be shocked how good some chicken thighs seasoned with salt, pepper and cumin are when cooked on butter mixed with thyme (even dried thyme).
I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet niggas again est. 2016
Hello, welcome to 'I see the poors are pretending to be big wallet gangstas again'
This hole exists as a safe space for refugees from the Facebook(MetaTM groups of the same name. Of which there have been several iterations. We mostly exist to poke fun at the state of living in poverty. While it oftentimes is unavoidable, we do aspire to not be meanspirited. Over the years we have co-opted the term 'Peak Poor' to being someone who exudes poverty, regardless of their actual net worth. Trump and Elon both exhibit the peak poor ethos from time to time while still being the top 0.000001%. You can do something peak poor and still be a good person or a generally adjusted one. We all have a bit of poor in us.
We basically fill a niche similar to fatpeoplehate with a bit less actual malice.
PeakPoor is shotgunning mountain dews at 5 years old.
PeakPoor is not people dying of poverty. While technically the greatest heights of poverty is succumbing to it this is not funny, and is a failure
of capitalism. We do not make fun of poverty to be mean spirited such as that.
Read the room, if it's punching down too hard or really digging into someone whos a sympathetic character it doesn't belong here. (basically READ THE ROOM)

Subscribe to this hole, it's important that we get our numbers up. Love numbers = peak poor
Bonus points for making your post title some variation of peak poor. (Pinnacle of Poverty, Prowess of the Penniless)
I am looking for a mod who will help me grow this place and encourage the facebook community where the majoryity of our members reside
to migrate. Contact me if interested.
I really do love you all so very much, i'm even spending drama coin to get some banners and marseys. thanks for being a part of the community.

Even if you can't cook, you can make a sandwich and have it be healthier and tastier than most of the slop people eat.
