Is it illegal to take animals ftom public parks?

Does it matter if it's a state or national park? Does it matter if the animal is not endangered? Does it matter if I intend to use homemade traps?

I've never seen a park ranger or even worker at this park so I think I could be safe plus it's just lizards.

Though I really don't want to be prostituted for stealing them.

The fricking major concern :marseywoozy: is fricking you can't know what is fricking or isn't protected. If you can verify the fricking land isn't protected and neither are the fricking animals you're probably safe. But wildlife authorities are fricking SERIOUS :marseybeheadedkamikaze: eco freaks

Do you think I could get away with digging a hole to catch them in?

They're lizards, they can climb. Just flip over rocks until you find one and grab it with your hands. I used to catch them all the time as a kid. A small butterfly net can also work, but be gentle.

They can break off their tails so grab them gently by the body then cup your hands together and hold them that way. Bring a deep container with a lid to keep them in, and poke a couple small holes in the lid for airflow. I think they can get territorial so I would only get one or three. Don't get two, one will just bully the other. One is probably best but three will divide each one's attention two ways.

If you need help caring for them let me know, I used to own all kinds of reptiles and amphibians.

Why can't you just buy these lizards? If they are native to your area how expensive can they be?

Don't think they're sold anywhere. Can buy them online but that would be a waste.
