It's fricking Cancer! Just check the top sellers on Amazon and they all require you to use an app to generate a QR code to set up your camera. That app won't work unless you make an account handing over your email, phone number and sometimes even CC number
I've returned 3 so far for not being fit for purpose, one of them openly lying about the app requirement.

just buy some ip cameras, frick. the ones from dlink aren't bad and they are cheap. go axis if you aren't poor.
i run an nvr at one warehouse by nightowl and it works well for years. Sams club sells them. the night owl app sorta sucks though

You can't. The only way to connect them is to generate a special QR code and the only way to do that is via the app

i would look at my dhcp server, figure out the IP and try logging in. that's beyond r-slurred if you need an app to set up an IP camera

I did. Camera had 0 open ports.
