Must. Not. Fedpost :marseyfedpost:

Fricking Windoes. Imagine having to actively opt-out of advertising on an OS you paid for in the first place.

Frick Microsoft to heck.

I've been dual booting for ages but I'm still primarily Windows. Once they (supposedly) drop support for Windows 10 in 2025 I'm gonna have to figure out how to go Linux full time.

Theyre gonna drop support? Thought it was forever, or at least for longer than this.

Yeah they've said they'll support it until at least October 2025. They could extend it but who knows.

Originally they were going to support it forever and it was going to be the last ever windows but then they realised they can't force people to buy new windows every 5 years if they do that so quietly went back to the old ways and released windows 11 lol

They typically offer free upgrades and most of their money comes from businesses which just pay a subscription.

You could just switch to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. Active support ends in 2027, and security support ends in 2032.
