I have had a lifelong struggle with mental illness, and so has my sister, but when I found out she became successful and got a successful husband I was like "well good for her, went further than I thought."
Am I being weird or is that kind of nuts? Tell me I'm being weird.

Not insane, just weird. There's no beauty to be captured there, just aftermath of a potentially deadly procedure. Yes, both made it through hopefully without complications, that's all people want to know. In text form or word.
To be clear: phone pics for posterity = fine. Professional for hire = weird. To send those pics around = very weird.
