I paid $50 for wifi. It can barely connect me through my VPN and even disconnected can barely load a web page. I get that I'm in the middle of the Atlantic but if I'm paying for wifi it should at least be able to load a web browser page

I have a half dozen research papers but I just want to finish up work so I can spend the rest of the week doing nothing

The airline I flew on recently for business wouldn't shut up about how they're bringing free wifi to everyone. Two connectors and two transatlantic flights and not one of them had the 'free' wifi installed yet. Oh the planes had wifi, just the kind you had to pay for. Apparently, you need to install new hardware to remove the purchase screen?
Frick it, I just slept as best as I could.

I'm currently just trying to sleep but it's a bit early. I was hoping to get some work done if I could just connect to my google drive but I'm barely able to get this site open, let alone a google drive that can only be accessed through a VPN

Just do what I do and drink yourself into a puddle until the flight is over.

I usually bring a book to read. Don't need to be connected all the time

T-Mobile gives me free wifi on all Delta flights which is one of my main airlines. The speed sucks peepee but what do you expect from like one satellite router serving 100 people simultaneously? I pre-load movies/TV onto my laptop or bring the Steam Deck so I can just use the wifi for news and rdrama

I'm on Lufthansa which normally has pretty decent wifi. I have 40-50 Kb/s speed and I'm afraid of what it will be when I need to upload documents since their VPN has even slower rates and your lucky to get more than 1 Kb/s upload

You should just bring on a 100ft ethernet cable so you can plug directly into the router
