Something else to keep in mind (while I'm thinking about it) is that physics is a weed out course often to get rid of the unmotivated. Put the work in and show progress. If you show immense growth between midterm and final, the professors are more willing to work with you. Catch them after they grade exams but before final grades are submitted and just talk with them respectfully. They may ask you to clean lab equipment or something over break but they're generally good people that want to see you succeed

Don't listen to these tards depending on your professor that's normal. When I was in thermo we had an exams that everyone made 12-30s on. If it's the case that everyone else made that grade it's recoverable. (They generally give some BS right at the end to give everyone a C)
If that's not the case and you studied I would look at how you studied and change that. For me doing proplems again and again and again was enough 99% of the time
Nah but really physics is dogshit. Go to your TA and ask them how to work through what you missed and learn from that. Keep showing up to office hours to understand homework/ask if you understand the topics. It relies on problem solving and understanding, not just memorization. Some people just can't do that and if you can't either adapt or switch majors.

I am having an exam about Operating Systems and Computer Hardware in two weeks and despite feeling like I have a pretty good intuition about it I was shocked by how many questions I got wrong on a past exam.
It does not help that a few years ago the exams were home exams due to Covid and the questions are harder to reflect that, so it becomes harder to know how difficult the exam will actually be.

Physics is so easy though, how could this have happened?
Take formula, numbers go in, number comes out. Simple as
Is this after partial credit was given? I know on a lot of math related exams I scored low on the computer autograded bit, but once partial credit was taken into account I scored ok at least. Never score 9% low though lol.
Your grade might be much higher then. Pretty common for STEM classes to both give partial credit and do some form of 'grading on a curve' where your grade gets bumped up based on how well
