It's been bipolar lately, when I keep the heat high it runs without an issue, if I let it go below 70 F it shits the bed

This one time at band camp I was finishing my basement, which included adding a subpanel.

Now this old 1940s wiring is kinda crappy, and as I'm relanding circuits I had one's insulation disintegrate in my hands.

"Eh maybe this can wait a day or two, I'm tired. What circuit is it?"

It's the furnace. On December 30th. In Wisconsin.

Kinda gonna need to fix that.

Thankfully I had bored big enough holes that I could easily pull a new romex all the way to the furnace

That furnace lasted nearly 30 years, one of those noisy old Lennox Pulse units. Installed in 1987, replaced in 2016. They had a really unique design and sound

(of course it normally didn't keep stuttering, it'd do the vibrated noise steady)
