Added in a little bit of one chess match a day and learning a bit of German every day.
I have figured out the trick to learning a language is to learn to keep up with the flow and listen to the words and conversations until you can track all the noises naturally.
It's like riding a bike. You just hang around everyday until the flow is coming naturally to you and your brain has adjusted to the noise and starts finding meaning in them.
Personal theory - It would be very difficult for a logician personality type to learn a new language, because they are constantly trying to memorize the rules instead of relying on their natural human senses and the ability for humans to get used to sounds and words over time as long as they always pay attention while listening to them. The rules are useful too but it's only half the puzzle. You want to feel used to the language until your mind can pick up all the words even while its flowing naturally.
I will be replacing my social media and entertainment time with things that lead to growth.
Agree or disagree with my theory? Let me know in the comments.

I think language aptitude is a talent orthogonal to logical personality, but logic people will be able to learn faster by devising a more efficient training regimen all else being equal
