Anyone here deal with chronic plantar fasciitis/foot problems? :marseyfeet: :marseymacholegs:

Just booked an appointment with a podiatrist to get checked out, but it's not for a few weeks. My foot hurts and rest and massage didn't cure it. I went no barefoot walking, no running (this kills the joggercel), self massage with a lacrosse ball etc, all the stuff google results tell you to do. It's arch, big toe and heel pain. trifecta baby :marseychaosdunk: If I'm developing a bunion I'll fricking kill myself. Have any dramachads overcome chronic foot ailments before, if so, any helpful advice? My feet aren't sexy so I'm not going to post them

I have shitty feet and had plantar fasciitis for a long time

turned out it originated in having absurdly tight calves so I ended up getting a slant board and standing on it for half an hour a day to stretch the shit out of it

probably not helpful for you tho

Update to this old post - Your comment is exactly what the podiatrist said was my issue, tight achilles and calves. I noticed that doing a bunch of hip hinge stretch movements + tripling my foam roller usage and regular icing has helped. Thought I was stretching enough but apparently not.

if it's the tight achilles and calves I 100% recommend a slant board. I have one in front of my standing desk so when I wfh I can get in an hour or two or solid stretch. I also do hip stretches which are good, but imho a $25 slant board requires next to no effort and has a huge impact

Darn i hope that's it, my hamstrings are tight as shit. I am doing yoga and stretching daily though and no improvement so probably not
