Looking to get back into pirating again, gonna order a NAS soon (flashtor 6bay with 3 2tb WD red NVMEs in raid 5)have Kodi running on my PC and Kodi on my Amazon fire to watch movies/TV shows in my living room. Anyone here a pirate chad? How do you do it? Currently using tPb for movies and shows, but I've been out of the game for a while. I know a friend of mine said he basically had a share agreement set up with people he knew and trusted online so I guess I'm wondering if the way I was gonna approach it was outdated.

Just pay for a Usenet connection. Using nzb files are easier to manage than torrents imo.

Yeah, torrents are good if you're in a bunch of private trackers and you're a long term seeder. But if you're in it just for ongoing shows and movies, Usenet with SABnzbd, Sonarr, Radarr, Plex will serve you for just about every show and movie. They're highly customizable applications.
You can get a decent Usenet provider for like $5/mo with around 4000 days retention. You'll need a couple of indexers too. Good indexers will have quality stuff from all the top release groups anyway. Check /r/usenet sidebar for more info.

I see this recommended a lot, but what is a practical example where it would be better? Especially for the normie stuff, you're very likely to get what you need from public trackers for free.
