Common laws are less structured and lawyers have more active role than judges. Japanese law games like Phoenix Wright games are more based on civil law than common laws
I live in EU I completed multiple law class that were mostly based on napoleonic civil laws. Now I have to do a class that is called EU laws in English and half the book is common laws
I was like this:
When I completed my last law class I was sure I wouldn't have more laws class in my life and that shit falls on my head
Laws exams are truly a b-word you have 20 question on wrong answer is -1 so you need to answer at least 15/20 questions correct. Question are also b-word like can you trademark a slogan ? Yes you can trademark in certain circumstances but the correct answer is no. So in laws there can never be a yes no because laws is mental gymnastic with code book but exam is yes no. Other epic example Sven (18 year old) during school trip asked Boris (17) to lend him his water gun. He shot with than gun Jan (16) and Jan lost his eye because the gun had illegal modifications so whose is the responsible in this case ?
