I was about to have a meltdown on the kid at AutoZone. I asked him if it could jump a V8. The jump box indicated the battery was full but it wasn't until I left it on the charger about 7 hours that it finally worked.

DuraLast DL-1000 (I think that's the model). I read that it won't jump a V8 in so so many reviews hence my about to have a meltdown on the Autozone guy. It finally worked after the third time and 7 hours charging.
I ordered another one just in case that supposedly has no issue with a V8.

Legitimately best jumpstarter for a v8 is another battery. Get a battery from a dodge caravan or ford f150 and a shitty trickle charger to go with

Looks like a 94RH7 battery, which is typically around 800 CCA, so that should be enough. It was probably just discharged, the SLA batteries in there need to be charged regularly and it was likely on the shelf for awhile. For the most longevity, charge it up every month or so overnight.
Also, if you want to check your alternator and have a volt meter, turn the car on and read the voltage between the posts. It should be between 13.6 and 14.4v, if it's way under that it might be an alternator problem, with the caveat that a bad battery can read lower because it can't accept the full voltage. Car batteries tend to last 3-5 years down here in Dixie.

Oh this is my fault. I don't drive much and have been through this. Those cars have about 2 weeks before you will have issues starting it. That battery is indeed about 3 years old.
I do indeed have a volt meter. I hope it's not something more serious. I absolutely hate car payments but hate car repairs even more. I was just telling my friend my car is 10 years old and gives me zero problems. I hope I didn't jinx myself.

I had a terrible electrical problem on my old one that they never did fix. I got rid of it for various reasons. Every time it rained, my headlight would go out. Fun stuff.

Same with every american car ive had. Had to pull the rear door switch in my van because it got wet and my old HHR (homo hot rod) would have the heat die at random. It was a bad connection somewhere because it would come back when i jiggled the harness

Gotcha, probably just a battery discharge situation if it's been sitting for a few weeks. I tell people the alternator check so some unscrupulous salesman doesn't just sell them a battery that won't fix their problem, since shit's really expensive nowadays
