I've seen on news reports and social media for the last two years calling people that unlawfully travel into the US "migrants". I could have sworn that they used to be referred to as "illegal immigrants" or "illegal aliens". Very strange. Does anyone know what's going on?

Rightoid wingcucks want to call them "illegals", leftoid wingcucks want to call them "undocumented citizens".![:marseywingcuck: :marseywingcuck:](https://i.rdrama.net/e/marseywingcuck.webp)
"Migrants" is neutral and factually accurate, and yet still you whine.

Aliens getting no love anymore. First this "migrant" bullshit, and now UAP instead of UFOs.
In my time working illegally in USA, they just called them Mexicans:(

Just typical word games. Zoomers don't know what words mean so it probably doesn't have the intended impact, but a migrant is someone who is just in a country for a little while and plans to leave (like birds migrate) while an immigrant is someone who moves with the plan to stay. So by calling the illegals immigrants migrants they're signaling that it's not big deal millions are coming every year, because they'll be leaving soon.

The whole “illegal immigrant/illegal alien” became coded as a rightoid dogwhistle term in like 2014 by progressives so now they are all migrants or undocumented.
