I tried to make liquor a couple of times when I was a teenager. Once, I put yeast and sugar in a water bottle and kept in the pantry for a couple of weeks. When I checked on it, the bottle had expanded so much, it's a miracle it didn't explode. When I opened it, it erupted like baking soda and vinager. I didn't drink any of it, I just poured it down the drain.
The other time, I read an article in Maxim on how to make prison wine. I put some Koolaid powder, and sugar, and yeast in a slurpee cup. After a couple of weeks it was moldy so I throw it out.
No more bathtub liquor for me these days. I only drink the finest ales.
