It's actually all in your body (psychosomatically). To snap out of it requires you to deliberately enter intense social situations on a frequent (aka daily) basis despite the intense spaghetti-ing that will happen for even the first few months. Dates, presentations and protests are all good things to go do. Otherwise you develop aversive habits towards the anxiety itself which is an awful spiral to get out of. Eventually your body more and more is like "eh, who fricking cares whatever" and you don't feel the anxiety anymore :marseyexcited: and the spaghetti stops being as bad

Thx. Ill try to follow this advice. I'm actually forgoing medication with my current psychiatrist, kind of against his will, cause I want to tackle this head on from the root, instead of with meds

Anxiety fricks you up in other ways though. I had a really bad anxiety for a while and I just couldn't fall asleep.

Having your heart's BPM go crazy while you're lying in bed trying to sleep is quite the experience.

Yes! All the more reason to tackle it head on. I unironically think the anxiety-aversion loop is the single worst mental space the average person can get into. Anxiety+Aversion will hype up your body, making you acutely feel what you desire and what you want to do, and then force you to watch yourself turn away again and again from it with more and more regret building over time. It would be genuinely evil to inflict something like that on even your worst enemy, let alone yourself.

Not to get too :marseyrasta: but it is interesting how people report there being body vs mental highs with cannabis. In a similar way I think certain emotions can be more heady or more embodied. Anxiety is definitely one that is more embodied. Like you were saying there is a direct, obvious physiological response in the body to anxiety and it's stressful af.

:marseyagree:

It was probably the worst period of my life. Feeling high strung 24/7 drives you insane.

Oh yeah, me too! I had to pretend I was roleplaying in order to get through interviews. Eventually, after my 7th one, I got a job offer. Keep your head up king, you've got this!
