Good news is I got regular severance which should carry me for like 5 months worth of expenses. 
Bad news is I have a mortgage. 
Good news is I'm already doing interviews.
Bad news is they don't seem to pay as much as I was getting.
Good news is I have alcohol 🥃 to cope with today.
Bad news is I have GAD.

I feel like I shouldn't be worried about getting canned on my first gig
Hopefully it works out for the better though, many the five months are an opportunity to pivot to a growing industry.

Thank you, I'm actually not that new on the field, I had just never been laid off. I do fricking hate tech tho. Not sure I can pivot in this short time, sadly.
I'm working on a plan to get out of it, but I think that's taking a backseat until I find a new job
