I still have my pre-9-11 "No Escort Required" pass for the naval headquarters, since you're asking....

I'd NEVER get that level of security clearance today...

Nearly knocked my head off with a branch as thick :marseywideload: around as a man's forearm, through a window :marseyshortbus:

I've got plenty of funny stories, but last week I was trying to refer to the site kaggle.com and fricked up and said "hey is that site kegel.com still relevant and useful?" and lmao so embarrassing but oops. The client said "umm I think that is something different" haha. But yeah, just another day and moving on.

Used to work with prototype equipment that was probably worth $200k per unit. However, they were older prototypes that were being phased out, but we could still use them to devise testing methods on final production units. The oldheads there reassured me, "It's fine, it's a rite of passage if you break one."

I broke two of them. :marseyspecial:

Wasn't that bad. I was planning on leaving anyway. No one got hurt.

Did this

https://rdrama.net/post/251561/i-made-a-frickywucky-at-work

  • Accidentally wired 120v to some motor drives, frying their Run input

  • Dropped a chunk of pipe on fresh tile

  • Almost killed myself with live wires on multiple occasions, everywhere from 480v to 28,800v

  • Wasn't my fault specifically, but pulled in $50,000 of the wrong wire that all had to be removed and scrapped

  • Racked up 94 "excessive speeding" events over three days in my company truck

  • Almost tipped a scissor lift on several occasions

Accidentally shipped out an undersized A/C unit for a job that called for a larger one. No one caught the frick up and it got installed. It ran full blast with crazy high power bills for like 2yrs before anyone figured it out. They (the contractor) swore off ever dealing with our company again and sued us for like 80k or so.

idk like my first day I clicked the wrong button so a customer basically went through free but I see all new people have the same mistake.

Stupid to have a bunch of large denomination buttons instead of us entering the full digits each time
