I finally completed my neurodivergent Lane Assist Retrofit video! :marseypearlclutch2: :redlight:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=lmbMUZwPfDc

I know you've all been waiting with bated breath, but after seven months, it's finally done -- at least until I discover I posted cringe and delete it in a fit of embarassment.

Many thanks to those of you who provided me with constructive criticism throughout this process. I've learned a lot about how to edit videos and talk into microphones.

Biggest thing I'm worried about right now is volume -- I don't really know if the main narration is too quiet, too loud, if the music is too quiet, etc. I'm hoping it's right in line with other YouTube videos so mine isn't jarringly loud or quiet.

Please clap.

edit: oh wtf, i put a ton of effort into animating a screw at the 'rotation lock' part. where the heck did it go

Cool project, but I genuinely don't understand how any sober person with a driver's license would ever need lane assist bullshit unless they were undergoing a medical emergency like a stroke.

My new car has it, and I can deactivate it, but it turns itself back on every time. And every single time it's sensed a lane departure, it's been a false alarm. What's worse is that the car will nudge the steering wheel to try and “correct” you, so I'll be driving along and come up on a sloppily replaced water main, or a poorly marked construction work zone, and then the car will literally start steering itself off the road. It's so stupid.
