Found out one of my old coworkers has brain cancer and is in the ICU

He's not even that old, mid 30s. I don't know all the details but it doesn't sound like he's going to make it.

I worked with him my first "real" job out of college. We weren't super close friends or anything but we would eat lunch with the same group and I went to his wedding. He moved across the country and we didn't keep in touch. I haven't talked to him in probably 10 years and only found out about the brain cancer through a mutual friend.

Didn't think I'd have friends dying of cancer this soon
