Cat post #13: The Fattening

(Beavis voice) "Feeding these kids every two hours blows, I'm never gonna score!" :beavisandbuttheadrocking: :marseycornholio: :marseyxd:

I hope these darn kids get fat today. I took too many stims this morning to not be effective :marseymad:

They're so cute!

Have you made any progress on finding a permanent home for them? Because the longer you take care of them, the more likely you are to just keep them.

Oh gosh, I'll care about that issue when they're past the 6 month mark! :marseysmug2: and who is to stop me from keeping 7 cats, huh? Let them try!

Lots of family and friends, connections like that, have shown interest. But now I fear nothing will be good enough for our still-undersized babies :marseycry: I can only focus on getting them through each day right now, hopefully no one else is wanting to act like me and takes this sort of thing on. Babies are the Dark Souls of life :marseyscared:

nobody, just think of all the content you could provide with 7 cats

hopefully no one else is wanting to act like me and takes this sort of thing on

good point tbh, even if I knew you irl and wanted kittens I'd want to let you fatten them up a bit lol, seems like lots of work

It's a lot of cat mom-ing work for me with our two adult girls plus the newcomers. But yeah, the content would be amazing, although once they're bigger I'm going to be pulled back into my work and, sadly, reality. It's kinda lucky that I'm getting over a bad cold; I got out of work until Wednesday no questions asked, and that allows me to get these kittens to the vet tomorrow to check their eyes.

Well, frankly, you don't wean until about 6 weeks in. They turn 3 weeks tomorrow. And the weaning takes about 2 weeks, so its a bit of a miserable experience for everybody. But kittens don't get adopted until they are at least 6 months old around here unless it's an emergency. You hardly ever see kittens this tiny, it's a miracle that any are surviving even WITH intervention

I would never change what I've taken on, but I'd strongly advise you have a reliable partner to assist in this type of endeavor for sure

Seriously you do have steel yourself for letting them go. We raised a couple litters of stray kittens and iirc both times it was just supposed to be for a few weeks but we ended up needing to keep one.

I understand the importance of re-homing. But they need to make it to the 1 month mark before I'll relax a little around these runts. Today they're 3 weeks old!!!!
