Interestingly: Dean was XXY chromosome. He had a peepee but also feminine physical traits. Obviously youd have to do a test to make sure, but the vets thought, little as he was, that he was a valid lil baby. He was so special

Did the vet test his DNA directly or is this an estimate? How much is a DNA test for a kitten?
Actually I already looked it up, google says it's $60-$150 for a cat DNA test. Honestly pretty neat that it's so cheap.

All of my babies are getting old, the youngest is 12 :(
I bought a Litter Robot but having a hard time getting my cats acclimated. Kinda half assed the process.
Immediately removed the litterbox in the spare bedroom.
Placed Litter Robot next to litterbox in mudroom.
Left basement litterbox unchanged.
Transferred some litter/waste into LR so it smells familiar
Stopped cleaning mudroom box to encourage cats to use clean LR next to it.
Added attractant to LR litter.
Two cats have used LR twice each. Third cat hasn't used it at all, but all three seem to prefer the normal box in the basement.
The only thing I didn't completely follow in the guide is I plugged it in immediately, rather than letting it sit for a couple days. The cat with 0 uses is deaf, so I figured he wouldn't be put off by the noise.
They'll all go into the mudroom, sniff around where the old litter box was, look in the LR, then go use the basement.

Being real though, we do our best for our little babies and for people like us, the money is best spent on the animals than, speaking for myseld, consuming products unnecessarily just to feel a little thrill. Now, I feel most at home with a cat on my lap and my man somewhere nearby safe. Thls idiocy I've undertaken has given me such purpose its ludicrous.

I have three litter genies, one for each litterbox. At some point they stopped including the springs to hold the slide shut.
Then yeah, the genuine refills are pricey. If I'm paying that much for a literal shitsack, could you at least put a red stripe on it or something to let me know when it's almost out?
Then to replace the cartridge, you have to either grab a screwdriver or dig your fingernail into that tiny little latch that definitely got a little shit on it at one point.
The third party refills on Amazon are acceptable enough, though they demand you buy their reusable cartridge. Then you get to manually cram the bag into the old cartridge.
I just said heck it and ripped the top off the cartridge. Hasn't failed me yet.
