My city has a big car celebration weekend every August. Most of it is really trashy hotrod and muscle car people, but if you know where to look you can find some good modern and vintage euro stuff.
Also I'm taking the Porsche 928 to RADwood Detroit on the 14th and will likely have an extra ticket if anyone here wants to go and listen to me be grumpy about other people's cars. No butt stuff unless you're a girl.
A nice 964 generation 911. Just ten years go these were $35k cars. Now you're lucky to find one for $100k

I think Karmann-Ghias are hideous. I also hate that they chopped up that nice 944 Turbo behind it for an LSX swap. Bet it goes like shit though.

this reminded me to check on those dashcam videos i pulled.
contacted someone about getting paint correction done, the standard cutting/polishing compound treatment. everything on his facebook looked good.
dropped it off sunday, planned to pick up friday. but he got busy doing dealership cars, so it wasn't actually read until sunday.
checked the dashcam, he didn't start until sunday morning, and his wife or dealer or whatever just lazily went over the entire car with a single-action polisher.
like, frick. all the scratches are still there, but now the car is covered in holograms. i coulda done that for free.
he cleaned under the hood decently and removed a stain on the hood, but that's about it.

I'd love to post the timelapse showing how half-assed it was, but there was a little girl running around half the time and I can't be assed to blur her out.
I can tell you that at no point was the back side of the car polished.
