Idk. I just heard it mostly affects females (HOLY SHIT WHY CANT I TELL IF ITS AFFECTS OR EFFECTS) Anyways... I had two tests done. One said I had HPV and one said I didn't. I'll still be careful I guess for two years. Planned parenthood and bottom of the barrel doctors... idk they make their own minds up. But I can wait till it clears up. Also I have never had signs or symptoms or warts like the gross worst case scenarios say but wtf how do I date with this?? I'll just practice safe s*x and get tested if we want to take condoms off

"Affects" is a verb, it's when something is being done to something else.
"Effects" is a (plural) noun, it's the result of the previously mentioned "something" being done.
There are probably some minor exceptions because the English language is stupid as shit. But you did use the correct one.
