Poor Sheila's bleeding from a wound between her teats. Since I'm ill, her papa is bringing her in for her treatment. Approximate cost: $500, if not more. But she's worth it

If you guys want to see a chest wound I got that one from when I had a malignant tumor removed.
Ms. Juju I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of the situation but remember that she doesn't have words. She can't tell you "it will be fine, don't worry too much".

I'm not actually terribly worried. The bleeding has been minimal all morning since first discovery at 4 am. Only needed 4 kleenex to sop up the blood until the vets got back to us with advice. I think she'll be dazed restarting the pain meds that she just stopped today... but hand feeding her is no problem for me.
I'm with the kittens, letting them roam and play. Thank goodness they took well to the solid foods when it became medically necessary.

I think that what must have occurred was that, after taking morning pain meds at 6 am for 3 days straight, today she was extra sensitive to the infection site. So she bit and nibbled it apart while we slept
