Finals end May 10th and commencement is May 15th.
I got to thinking about this bc U of C is on a quarter system so they've got another month of protests potentially but most schools are wrapping up the academic year around now.

When i was in college I always thought it was so lame almost everyone went home for summer. Campus was a ghost town during the summer. Why would you want to stay with your parents when you have your own place?

I didn't need to pay rent, my summer job paid better, and most of my college friends were under 20 minutes from me anyway.

Interesting, maybe it changed since i went to college but you were still on a year lease so you were still paying rent over the summer. You can go home for a week or weekend to see high school friends, your new friends should be at college with you though, as should a part-time job. I moved in with my college friends and we made the best of summer that's for sure
