Dammit I had written a long post and it got removed I'll try again.

Before all my write up I'll say that I actively searched for a Greek dramanaut to give this drama too.

Appears we have none

Basically a game Hades 2 got released and there was basic g*mer drama over video game characters looking like s*x dolls vs video game characters looking like train enthusiasts

However it birthed side drama. With a stupid premise, but also some interesting questions about legit racism, americentrism, activism vs slacktivism, hypocrisy and possibility of xenophobia in non rightoid circles

Side drama:

Some chuds made memes about Hades 2, a game based on ancient Greek culture not having mayos in it. Soon some non chud greeks, who posted on GamingCircljerk got sucked in.

A poster had risen and made posts in which he made fun of them chuds ( which is fine)

Telling that greeks, slavs, italians and people in balkan region are now mayo enough and christians so they can't claim anything from their hundred or thousand year old culture because it got mixed through the ages and no pagan practitioners survived until modern times

Users of GCJ claimed that individuals from mentioned regions might not be oppressed minorities enough, as example claiming that Ottoman Empire as well as Mongols were 'soft conquerors' and did not oppress inhabitants of lands they conquered compared to other colonizing forces.

Also that some of these cultures were colonizers and oppressors before ( greek and roman). So they don't count.

OP himself had some comments which might be taken as a joke, but to some as legit claims about greeks having no culture in general and about minorities not being oppressed at all under Ottoman rule.

Again okay, but....if you dunk on chuds then what's good for the geese must be good for the the gander.

Shame that neither the OP of those posts, nor GCJ user base been able to follow claims they made and their logic throughout even same two posts I linked below, when other minorities were mentioned.

And after checking OP of these posts, one might think that maybe he is a little bit obsessed with shiting on modern mayo passing egyptians ( if you get my drift) and criticizing only mayos and asians, every time similar they see posts on topics about cultural represention in media being made.

But in contrast, he suddenly openly talks about cultural appropriation when it's convenient to him.

I might be wrong about him, if you want you could recheck his posts

Same can be said about GCJ, user base of a sub, which is even more mayo than user base of this site.
