The Congo has possibly the biggest, best mineral deposits in the world. It's a wild West goldmine full of r-slurred BIPOCs waiting for an enterprising set of first worlders to just take over with magic tricks and bigger boomsticks. I'm betting this is not an uncommon plot. Somebody is going to get insane rich off that place one day.
