Normally I would agree, but rightoids are pretty clearly so rabidly anti immigration for racial reasons, nothing else really makes sense.
This isnt really a case of theyre just against illegal immigration, many of the people pretending their goal is to stop it also just so happen to favor immigration restrictions across the board.

The legal migration system the US has is unironically broken and should be reformed. Most green cards are given to relatives of US citizens (people who married an American or Naturalized citizens bringing their families). For a white collar professional to become a Green Card holder with a clear path to citizenship without marrying a US citizen the chances are low and require said person to go through years and years of paperwork and finding an employer willing to sponsor them.
This is a shame because due to the US economic power there are millions of professionals worldwide who would love to move and contribute to the US economy but wont. It's easier for illegals, they're poor so they cross the borders and they're fine with whatever job they find. For them it's worth the risk. Many illegals are also Indians overstaying student of temporary work-visas. But let's asume some young middle class engineer from Chile, he could make more money living in the US, but as an illegal he would be trapped in an economic position lower to that he has in his native country, so he wont even mind moving.
TL;DR The US needs to reform it's legal immigration system to attract more professionals to stay and become citizens, forget about the stupid “THEY TOOK AR JABS” the kraut ancestors of midwestern hicks were as qualified as the average border jumping beaner and Fertility Rates are low in the US. They will be necessary to keep the American Economy on top for the rest of the century.

The Brazilian upper-middle class and upper class are very similar to the American one. I would argue that in the case of the upper classes they're happy to be Brazilian and spend their money in some Orlando apartment/house. It is much better to reign in heck than serve in heaven after all that's why rich people hardly move permanently, the wealthy from Europe didn't move to the Americas during the great migration either. The middle-classes are indeed the ones who would be more eager to migrate legally if that was a possibility.

It was incredibly easy for me to get a green card. It took like a year and all I had to do was sign some forms and get a blood test.
It's only hard if you are from India or China, and country caps are a good thing IMO (just look at Canada).

Large tech companies and healthcare are biggest green card sponsors, my aunt is a doctor and she has some friends who were her college mates whom migrated to the US, the Hospitals they worked for sponsored them.
Still, the fact a large corpo sponsored you as a software engineer means you're very worthy to them, and most employers are not the tech industry.
My point was that it is very hard for people holding other occupations non-tech/healthcare related.
