What I get with my FREE healthcare where I pay a 48% tax rate:
72 hour wait at the ER only to be treated inside a janitor closet, maybe
Being able to see my doctor if I give at least 4 weeks notice. Even though I'm one of the lucky few with a doctor, 90% of my care is via walk in clinics.
I also have the privilege to pay out of pocket for:
Dental
Optical
Prosthetics
Sports medicine
Physio
Most drugs
And this is with the additional private insurance I pay for on top of my taxes

I was chatting with a Canadian about their enlightened medical system. They were low key seething about Trump before hand and I asked “Do you see why people would be suspicious about giving power over to people like Trump?” but they seemed to shrug it off saying “there was no power being given to anyone”(?)
I think Canadians are just inherently cucked.

I got cancer and I got it sliced out of me a few weeks after it was detected and was fine. Probably a lot better system than having me wait for months until it spread to my lungs and then spending a fortune on palliative care while I wait for my MAID practitioner to find time in their schedule for me.
The worst problem we have is not being able to find a PCP and I see they've got that in Canada too. So wtf are they doing better than us?
