"Live Updates: Gunman Had Searched for Images of Trump and Biden, F.B.I. Says
In a private call with lawmakers, F.B.I. officials said the gunman had also searched for the dates of Trump appearances and the Democratic National Convention."
Don't know why they mention that he had searched for images of Trump and Biden, that could be as simple as him just reading the news. But him searching for dates of Trump appearances and the DNC is suggestive.
It seems to me the guy likely would have been happy to vaporize either Joe or Donald's useless brain into a fine mist, but it's hard to get to Joe cause he doesn't make many appearances and is better protected.

It's far more likely he wasn't doing this for Current Year reasons but for crazy person reasons. We're unlikely to ever find out, though.
Definitely seems to have inspired a few others to give it a try.
