rDrama goes to the polls!

I saw Beto O Rourke voting in the Texas polls, I was only one space behind him and didn't recognize it was him until I heard his voice. He was repeating "nuh-uh, nuh-uh" so I listened in. On his screen, it said he was voting for himself, but he had actually just written himself in and spelled his name wrong, as "Bobo O Rorke". It looked like a poll worker was trying to help him with this, trying to explain that he should just select his name from the candidate list, but he just kept saying "nuh-uh" and clicking the power button on the voting machine, so the screen kept flickering on and off.

The poll worker got exasperated and told Beto to leave so I could vote. Before I could explain I didn't mind waiting, Beto turned to me and wrapped his entire hand around my wrist - like, my wrists are small, but his hand was at least a foot wide. He looked at me and said "you're my band mate" and all I could stammer out was "it's fine" The poll worker insisted he leave, so Beto just jumped up on top of a nearby table. He kicked over an entire pitcher of coffee onto the floor and made a sizzle noise with his mouth.

Eventually Beto left the polling place, but only after some workers swatted at him with brooms. Afterwards, he stood outside of the door, asking people for their phone numbers when they'd try to leave. I tried to give mine to him but he was on a third party Spanish calculator app and he wouldn't let me swipe off of it. Overall it was a good experience and I still voted Democrat.
