I suspect they caved because it would probably look bad if everyone who only mildly cares saw what they were doing actively/daily for the last 6-12 months trying to censor all dissent there and accusing anyone who didn't suck the gock of being a trump supporter, ask me how I know!

I suspect his more normal advisors will try to channel and direct him towards specific projects that are less controversial and more time consuming. That may be optimism though
