like many things associated with alt med shit, it has a real basis in medicine for curing heavy metal poisoning but is marketed as a panacea cure all to remove imaginary contamination with heavy metals like supposedly thimerosal from big bad vaccines which incidentally is biologically inactive and doesn't accumulate in your body.
they literally infuse this stuff into your blood and carries high risks like kidney failure when being done by quack natropaths/chiropractors without any real medical training
