I remember reading the Wikipedia article about LGBT rights in Taiwan (somehow got there from the gay rabbit temple) a while back and it was absolutely dripping with seethe something along the lines of "Whilst same s*x marriage is legal, the attitude towards transgender people is more similar to Pakistan"
