The official /r/neoliberal way to win back the rural scum I mean the lumpenproles I mean the rural populus:
1. Have billionaires from California and New York run ads with cornfields and flags or some bullshit.
2. Have a bunch of soymen move to Bismarck, ND for one election cycle (they have to move back to the coast because Bismarck only has one barcade.)
3. Don't change ANY progressive policies, if trans rights and gun control sink the ship, by God were going down instead of avoiding the iceberg. Can't risk alienating the D+69 districts of NYC or the Bay Area.
4. Give the flyover rubes more in welfare spending, surely the obese, entitled, pill addict will vote for us instead of not voting. This also totally won't alienate the icky poor working class person even more seeing Cousin Amy get $5k/mo in benefits for free for just for being a fat addict with 5 kids while they work their butt off.

It's a big reason why poor rural states are deep red. There's a book called Our Own Worst Enemy that talks about this. What progressives and Leftoids fail to understand about your average person is that they don't give a shit about Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos being bajillionares. They don't know them, or care about some superyacht bullshit. But they do know Jeff down the street who's on ""disability"" but has no problem getting in and out of a boat to go fishing. They're working class, they're taxpayers and voters. Jeff doesn't vote, or care. He's getting his either way.
