>A generation that has zero hope starts acting out, and all of a sudden we're concerned about legality and order?

There's more than zero hope. It just requires hard work, living within your means or below it to get yourself moving forward, don't have 4+ kids when you can't financially support one, skip a gen or two of the new iPhones (That $2800 can come in real clutch in a pinch). I see poors as boiling crabs. My parents grew up beyond dirt poor. They ate shit, grabbed every extra hour of work they could, moved us out the hood into a smaller modest house in a safe neighborhood with decent schools. I probably won't be rich but I'm above average income with a good career and I would expect and support my children to do better than me. How many times I've passed the Sec 8 housing to see BMWs, $50k Scatpack Chargers, Jags parked out front, I've lost count.
