There's even a drop-off in quality between dune and messiah, it's weird. The ending of Dune is also lame. I love Dune and the universe of it and all, but I hate how the plot of the first book is just the Duke going "I bet there are a lot of fremen there we can use" and then there are a bunch (a bajillion all super betterer than the Saurdaker) who they use to win. I should do a write-up before the sequel movie comes out
