:ratvibe:

In a town where the thumbtacks are bats,

Lived a herd of polka-dotted rats.

With a yawn and a spin,

They would dance on a pin,

Juggling cheese with acrobatic cats!

With their tails, they'd paint portraits so grand,

On a canvas of crackers and sand.

With a stroke so bizarre,

They created a star,

In the midst of a marshmallow land.

In the day, they would skip and they'd hop,

On a tightrope of strawberry slop.

With a flip and a flounce,

They would pounce and they'd bounce,

Never daring to dare to drop.

Then at night under marmalade moon,

They'd all hum a harmonious tune.

With a note, sweet and mellow,

Like jiggling jello,

They'd waltz to the walrus's croon.

In the center, a teapot stood tall,

Where the rats had a glittering ball.

With a whirl and a swirl,

Every boy, every girl,

Would twirl as they heard the call.

They would feast on a banquet so vast,

A magnificent, magical repast.

With a munch and a crunch,

They would lunch on a bunch,

Of breadcrumbs from breakfasts past.

But one day came a tumultuous tap,

As they napped in a voluminous cap.

With a start and a stutter,

They heard a mutter,

As the cap gave a thunderous clap.

From the shadows, a scarecrow appeared,

With a hat that was handsomely geared.

With a bow and a bellow,

He said “Hello, yellow!”

And the rats, they tremendously cheered!

For the scarecrow was kind and was keen,

And his dance was a sight to be seen.

With a slide and a glide,

He'd provide a ride,

On his shoe that was shiny and clean.

Now they live in a paradise pure,

In the pocket of scarecrow's couture.

With a laugh and a chat,

They're content and they're fat,

In a haven that's perfectly sure!
