It just occured to me, is this whole Israel/Palestine kvetching the first real schism within wokeness? I know there was some writer who mentioned the peculiar way the wokes tear eachother apart for sport but never diverge on their ultimate morality (indicating an etiquite rather than a religion as people usually compare it too).
But this feels like a real schism of ideology. Average wokescold-on-the-street types are all pro-palestine but elites who style themselves woke (establishment dems, hollywood execs, employed academics, etc.) are pro Israel.
I really hope this forces these moral busybodies to compete with other, equally insuferable busybodies because for the last ten years they've held a monopoly on "riteousness" and competition is the only way they're gonna get knocked down a peg.
