They aren't necessarily a bad thing based on my anecdotal experience; I dated a moid 14 years my senior from age 21-30 and it was the most stable relationship I'd have ever encountered.
Sure, I didn't get to get out and party and do stupid shit — but I don't regret missing out on that. I was able to establish boring foid hobbies like gardening and cooking and not having to worry about him being r-slurred and chasing other women constantly.
The relationship ended after his daughter had a baby and I had been mentioning that I had wanted one and it was determined amicably that he was done with having more children and that he was ready to come out to his family as gay.
