anyone remember when people on /pol/ unironically said shit like "shadilay" and "meme magic"? what do you think those guys are doing now?
i found an article on medium from 2016 by some dude who fell for the meme hook line and sinker
TLDR: theres some old egyptian diety named "kuk" that's depicted as a frog , and this means that meme magic is real and getting dubs on 4chan will put trump in the whitehouse, or something.
my favorite part is this, which is a real paragraph crafted by a real human who has the right to vote and leave the house unattended
We are witnessing what will go down as the most important event in the 21st century. Historians will read through archived image boards trying to reconstruct what happened. An entire field of study will be dedicated to “meme magic” and its influence on the 21st century. People will literally specialize in identifying memes, their origins, and meanings.
!nonchuds bonus meme: i cant find the video but in 2018, sargon of akkad livestreamed what he called a "big announcement", and after hyping it up for a half hour, revealed that he was going to find a way to get trump to mention g*mergate, and this was going to win him the midterm
