Huh
I'ma need a bigger bag for the cohort
Tryna make a millionaire out of slum dogs
Bet that, head crack, blunt force
Cozy with the east Africans up north
Where seven make a three, turn a ten by law
Crescent moon wink, when I blinked it was gone
Left the crib, smacked, no sheath on the sword
Made it by the skin of my teeth, thank God
'03, momma rockin' Liz Claiborne
Had her stressin' up the wall playin' Mary J. songs
Rainy day came, couldn't rinse the stains off
Long way to go, we already came far
Story stayed the same, it was never madе up
Threw me loose changе, look at what I made of it
When the mood change, I'ma poker-face 'em
It's a new day, who got all the aces?
Who be foldin' late? Who know when to play dead?
Who sit up straight when the roof caved in?
Had a full plate, you ain't wanna split it
Tell it to you straight, you ain't wanna listen
Cup runneth over the brim
Bust open, there's no closin' the lid
Drumroll, here go my lil' entrance
Gung ho, I'm the one that go get it
Five O's on me like the Olympics
Pure gold, somethin' told me, "Don't mix it"
Caught a feelin', momma had me out Temple
Not religious, we was really out Philly
Livin' on the fly tryna wing it
We got us a fire to rekindle
Redirect the fight where it's meant for
Triumph over plight and immense loss
Ride alone at night, I get clear thoughts
Caught a couple slights and I veered off
Saw another height, had my ears poppin'
Walked outside, it was still gorgeous
Sharp incisors reveal slowly
In the dark inside, we was real hungry
On a seven of the five, we was real hungry
Uh, niggas still drummin'
Foot shook ground when I stepped on it
Didn't look back when I broke soil
'Cause every time I did it would hurt more
In the dark inside, we was real hungry
On a seven of the five, we was real hungry
And I didn't look back when I broke soil
'Cause every time I did it would hurt more
Alright
Yessir, this nigga spittin'

The only expense Hammond spared was not paying the fatass IT nerd who was responsible for wrecking the system and unleashing the dinos. Or maybe the lesson is don't trust fats !thin

FUN FACT
That computer program she was using was Unix, and it was real, not made for the movie.
It was a program that was a (mostly) accurate depiction of the Silicon Graphics 3D File System Navigator for IRIX (an OS based on Unix). If I remember correctly it was mostly a demo of the 3D processing power computers could put out in the early 90s.
Assuming Lex's family were loaded (which, given their grandfather's wealth, is likely), it's entirely possible she owned a PC with this program on it and she recognized the program.
!dinochads !kino the Unix system at the end of Jurassic Park was real

The Michael Crichton novels are actually pretty fun reads. The dilophosaurus blinds Nedry like in the movie but then there's a page long description of it tearing out his intestines while he's still alive.

Yeah the lost world book is significantly better than the movie turned out. Also thought sphere was really good which is in the same wheelhouse albeit no dinos![:dinover: :dinover:](https://i.rdrama.net/e/dinover.webp)

All his novels have the same structure, Congo is similarly a lot better than the movie and worth flipping through on a plane ride or whatever and the killer apes fill the dino void a bit.![:dinodoomer: :dinodoomer:](https://i.rdrama.net/e/dinodoomer.webp)

Ah...that Spielbergo sure knows how to direct a kino![:marseyboomer: :marseyboomer:](https://i.rdrama.net/e/marseyboomer.webp)
...also a tangential humblebrag, but I actually went to a dinosaur museum/"museum" (it's a private collection that the owner allows people to see publicly) last week and I saw some really cool shit - including various props from all the Jurassic Park movies (from the old to the new to the kino to the slop and you know)! I'm thinking of making a sort of effortpost about it soon...eventually...but it really is a decent little place to be! ![ ](https://i.rdrama.net/e/marseythumbsup.webp)

If you read the novel, it makes sense. Hammond was bullpooping about sparing no expense because he was the villain there. No clue why Spielberg kept that line in the movie version if he was gonna make Hammond look like a good guy.

I read it lol
I feel like the villainy of Hammond is so much better in the novel
Jump in the discussion.
No email address required.
That's because Hammond was not a villain on the film. The message of the film was synthesized by Jeff Goldblum: "shit will happen because you're messing with complex systems".
Film Hammond wasn't evil, but he was playing with something he didn't understand while legitimately believing he was creating some Disneyland.

Richard Attenborough has too much gravitas to be killed on-screen like that.
Peter Stormare, on the other hand, portrays enough sliminess that the death feels earned.

Which is understandable.
Jurassic world is a Roger ebert like film. Shit all the way through but enjoyable if that's what you like.
There are some decent aspects to this film

This movie
was in my childhood top 3. Special
effects hold up. Plot holes definitely, allegedly the book tells more of a horror
story
than the movie
does. God I wish it were rated R. This movie
introducing me to the Spas12 is why I love guns and why I have an neurodivergent
sense of dread with my mind dreaming up possibly having to fight
a dinosaur/monster at some point
in my life.
