my grandparents had new 20k hurricane-proof storm windows put in and we had debby roll thru last week and I was condo-sitting for them bc they're snowbirds and now in connecticut or whatever the term is. LOL look at these thangs, never seen water come inside like this LOL. shit had a whole river current going on. grandpa = MAD!!!!! grandma = DEFEATED!!! I am = best grandchild in the world <3

Are those Milgard? They're weirdly shit at keeping out water even in non-hurricane weather. Like the glass and gas is fine, its like their weird plastic deforms in fricktarded ways during manufacturing so its not a properly water-proof seal.

hmmm I actually don't know, just texted them to ask. and thats so weird if its such a widespread issue you'd think they'd fix their product LOL. it's like the one job of a window

Their production lines expanded way too fast during covid because everyone and their mother decided to re-do all their houses. They cut far too many corners because they were like THE premier window company.

Their support is still good at least. Probably the only thing keeping them in good graces. Had one of their windows just crack for no reason 3 days after I got it but they sent a white guy to replace it in 2 days for no cost so whatever :marseyshrug:
