Just finished Fabius Bile clonelord

"Please do not take Fulgrim, with him around we could change the course of the entire galaxy." Cried Alkenex.

"Lol", Said Trazyn," Lmao".

Honestly It's a solid book, I enjoyed it entirely. Nowhere is it too long or too short in narrative. It's the perfect length and perfect pacing.

Least liked chapter, when the Imperium astarted invade the ship, it felt like it was all filler, also super stupid that Fabius Bile almost got killed by one extra muscled dude with hybrid progenoid. I wonder if it was a reference to Primaris marines.

Favorite chapter, the ending, when Fabius realizes that Fulgrim was going to repeat his exact same mistakes because in everyone around him he could only ever see weapons and warriors worthy of following him and being sacrificed in his name.

I really think Fabius would not have made the trade if Fulgrim had not said that he knew the purpose of the gland hounds was to be his warriors.

I think in total he has three sub races of humans he had actively created. The mutants that he inoculates with his vaccines and stuff. The vat born, and the new men.

I also like how the noise marines are literally singing back in time to give birth to Slaanesh. That's a really cool detail. Also the noise marines together are probably strong enough to crack open a planet which is cool as well.

I was left unimpressed by how horrified the chaos marines were of the Aeldari who was fused with wraithbone. Like you understood that at a symbolic level it horrified them more than anything else out there, but it just didn't feel at all more horrible than an action like torturing a serf.

The Harlequiens were cool as frick though. They likely did not sacrifice a single one of their troupe at Trazyns world but rather the part of the group in statis now can be released at any moment when veilwalker determines it to be convenient.

The reveal of Bile having poisons strong enough to destroy entire sectors of the galaxy of all life was cool as frick too.

All in all, would have liked to see Bile destroy at least a solar system or two. Would have been entertaining.

At the end of the day the book is a solid 9 out of 10. Would recommend.
