She's right, there are too many ugly people and too many cameras to photograph those uggos for any contemporary protest (beside January 6th) seem romantic

Those "old dudes" (MI6/ASIS infiltrators) were living in the moment leaving the photography to the professionals; this resulted in kino.

the problem with protest culture is that it's the only acceptable outlet for these people's anarchic impulses which is why it feels so forced. also you never see people protesting for any weird fun shit anymore, only the current thing.

we need a more freedom-loving culture that encourages minor rulebreaking in the spirit of public fun rather than in support of some moral cause; people would use that type of thing to get laid and express themselves, so actual political protests that crossed the line further would only happen when people's genuine interests were threatened (like by a draft) rather than for some distant cause they don't understand.

We have this it's called the hood. :marseyblack:

But for real, if you encourage rule breaking it will be taken advantage of by bad faith actors to do much worse shit. Young people will always want to break the rules but they have to know there are consequences if/when they get caught and should be shamed for it.

everyone has the right to protest...It's frickin lame and protesters always make me cringe...marches and parades are stupid as well...

the only one I ever attended was the topless free the nipple march...didn't really attend, more a casual observer...and observed that 90% of the birthing people should never be topless in public...
