The subsequent raid on the aircraft by Egyptian troops killed 56 of the 86 passengers, 2 of the 3 hijackers and 2 of the 6 crew, making the hijacking of Flight 648 one of the deadliest such incidents in history.

They got almost all the hijackers, stop trying to denigrate their achievement 🙄

Funny thing is, only one of the hijackers was killed by the raid, the other was actually killed by a sky marshal when the plane was mid-flight, and he did so without killing any passengers. In other words, the entire "special" forces team killed the same number of hijackers as a single sky marshal, they just also killed 2/3rds of the hostages :marseyxd:
