TL/DR PLO gains power base in Jordan, immediately bites the hand that feeds by using Jordan as a staging ground for terror attacks, trying to assassinate the King, building a state within a state, igniting a civil war, and killing the Jordanian PM Wasfi Tal.
King Hussein clearing out PLO held Amman actually holds some interesting potential parallels to the Israelis potentially clearing out Gaza today.
Anyway, Palestinians ejected from Jordan into Lebanon then do the exact same shit all over again, and help fuel the Lebanese Civil War. The PLO are basically the worst house guests ever and I do not blame Egypt for not wanting to deal with their shit.
And oh yeah, for extra historical spice it was a Palestinian who assassinated King Abdullah of Jordan back in 51.
